In today’s lesson, I’m guiding one of my students in Vietnam on the best way to prepare for Parts 2 and 3 of the IELTS Speaking test. The lesson includes plenty of practise activities – giving the student experience in using different strategies – and builds confidence in speaking English fluently in test conditions. Further lesson activities help the student to increase their grammatical range, and accuracy.

About the IELTS Speaking test. In Part 2, the student has to talk about a particular topic, and will have one minute to prepare, before speaking for up to two minutes. In Part 3, the IELTS examiner will ask the student further questions about the topic inPart 2, and will last for around four to five minutes.
